Title : Selectable Homing Missile Fix
: (or Just Another Homing Missile Patch)
Filename : homefix.zip
Version : 1.00
Date : 11/13/96
Author : Lee Murdock
Email : lng@isat.com
Credits : ID SOFTWARE!
Special Thanks : Vhold@netwizards.net for his homing missile v.001
Type of Modification
--------------------
Selectable Homing Missile
Deathmatch : no
Single Player : yes
Quake C : yes
Sound : no
MDL : no
Description of the Modification
-------------------------------
I really enjoyed Vhold's Homing missile patch (it made me want to write my
own patches). But I wanted to disable it in deathmatch (Cheesey!) and make
it selectable in single player mode (sometimes you don't want to home in on
crucified zombies).
How to Install the Modification
-------------------------------
Place the files (progs.dat and autoexec.cfg) in a new directory in your
quake directory. Name your new directory whatever you want (i.e. homing).
Run: quake -game homing (or whatever your directory is named). Press h to
activate homing missiles and h again to deactivate them. You can edit the
autoexec.cfg to bind any key to do this. BTW the impulses are 40 and 41.
Technical Details
-----------------
This quake-c patch took about 1 hour to complete once I got the inspiration
to use bit flags to turn things off and on. The homing.qc file is in this
archive in case you would like to see for yourself.
Author Information
------------------
- Quake Player/Editor
- C/C++/QuakeC wannabe programmer (I'm still teaching myself)
- US Navy Aviation Electrician (AE2)

weapons multipatch. You may upload it anywhere...even AOL (It's time we just
all got along).
Availability
